Wen.Us. Women’s Dance Circle – Aleksandra Lemba
⏰️November 14, 2026 / Saturday
Time: 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM, 2 hours
WEN.US is a women’s dance circle that combines Caribbean movement inspirations with tools that support expanding self-awareness in movement and mindfulness of the body.
It’s a place where, through dance, movement, and shared exploration, we can pause at how we feel in our bodies—without judging how our bodies look or move.
The workshop is open to every woman, regardless of dance or movement experience.
We will experience different qualities of movement, examine our own movement patterns,
and explore what in our way of moving gives us more freedom, vitality, and pleasure.
We will pay particular attention to the pelvic, spine, and chest areas: their movement, perceived tensions, and the different ways of experiencing these areas.
We will also examine how we perceive our body image and how we can build a more conscious connection with its signals, needs, and our own agency.
We will also examine our body image and how we can build a more conscious connection with the body’s signals and needs.
An integral part of the meeting will also be a circle at the beginning and end – a time for pause, exchange, and reflection.
During the workshop, we will:
• explore different qualities of movement and look for those in which we can feel more freedom, vitality, and pleasure;
• observe our movement patterns and see which ones we want to strengthen and which ones we want to change or expand;
• pay attention to the signals coming from the body and see how we can respond to them through movement;
• experiment with movement in an atmosphere of curiosity, without having to perform it in a specific way;
What will support us in the experience?
– bodyflow inspired by Afro-Caribbean dance styles.
– practical and developmental tools supporting dialogue with the body, inspired by, among others, dance and movement psychotherapy, the Laban/Bartenieff Movement System, Body-Mind Centering, and the Feldenkrais Method.
– relaxation exercises.
