Day 1
🗓️ 9th May
🕘 9:00- 17:00
And introduction to recognising the “Nano Second” that created the Trauma or PTSD?
An introduction to our own Ollie Therapeutic Model of Empowerment. We have condensed all the research into a simple model for easy access by our children clients so they can understand it. Our language is simplified to make is understandable by the kids we deal with and even to those with English as a second or third language. We use the puppet Ollie and through his adventures emotions emerge and are dealt with appropriately. There are 4 children’s books that go along side our practice. This was the initial aim when Ollie and his Superpowers was born.
We hand over in our model’s simplicity the empowerment of themselves to our therapeutic clients. The clients have to see their active roles in the process.
We will talk about our realities. How real are our realities? Are they solely created by exterior forces or do we play a part? We look at how we can unpack trauma, how our emotions create our realities, how reality creates our beliefs and identity and try to promote the choices we have in our relationship with external influences.
Identifying the real trauma
A number of techniques will be demonstrated ( a mix of NLP and other techniques that Ali has seen work in her 20 years practicing as a child psychotherapist) and then there will be practice in small break way groups. Practicing and reporting back what works and does not work in their particular context will make up 75% of the day and these will include as a minimum
Trauma resolution and parts conflict resolution
Reducing anxiety
