PROJECT IDEA:

It all started with a lucid dream that came back to me years later in the dance hall.
A lucid dream is one in which the dreamer knows that he or she is dreaming and can influence the course of the dream.

Translating this dream into the world of movement-dance turned out to be possible, and the possibilities of exploring the topic that arise as a result of the embodiment of this dream seem to me to be endless. The method we will be working with is called the Puzzle Method.

Combination of course and performance project:

The project is both educational and performative (DANCE VIDEO). Both of these parts will organically intertwine. Camera operator: Gabriel Kotliński will be as much a part of the process as the other participants.

We won’t be working on the video all the time. In addition to familiarizing ourselves with the topic for the VIDEO class project (as above), we will implement the course program in order to enrich the participants’ language of movement and enrich them with new perspectives of perceiving movement.
The film material will be created on the basis of structural improvisation during three meetings on Saturdays in June outside the hall, in an open space. based on research in the puzzle technique.
We will implement the assumptions and structures related to it, but your body worlds/stories will also be created in relation to the proposed topics.

In sum…
Participants will experience three months of classes that will strengthen them both as creators and dancers, and will create and co-create movement material mainly based on improvisation and structural improvisation, under the supervision of a choreographer. The project is also a space both for participants and (later for the viewer) to look at the issues:
‘The individual as a separate entity.’
‘The individual as part of a larger whole.’
As a result, a video material will be created with the scheduled premiere, both in social media and the real premiere, the date and place of which will be announced after the holidays.
