We invite you to enter a space of creative play, where five simple hand gestures can completely change the way we express ourselves and create together with others.

PROGRAM

• 10:30–13:00 | THE ELEMENT KEY – INTRODUCTION

The first part of the workshop. An introduction to The Element Key language, learning the basic gestures and having our first experiences of creating music together.

• 15:00–17:00 | THE ELEMENT KEY JAM – PART II

A deeper exploration of the method. More space for leading, following, communication and creating complete improvised forms.

• 20:00 | THE ELEMENT KEY CONCERT & JAM SESSION

In the evening, we meet on stage. The Element Key concert will be a chance to see the method in action. After the concert, the space will open for a shared jam session.

*Please be on time. After the event starts, the doors will be closed to create a safe space where everyone can fully enter their creative flow.

WHAT IS THE ELEMENT KEY?

The Element Key is both an international network of artists and a unique jamming method based on structured improvisation. Music, movement, poetry and other forms of expression come together to create spontaneous compositions.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

1. LEARN THE LANGUAGE
Five elements create a simple language that allows everyone to create music together.

2. ENTER THE CIRCLE
Become part of music created live. Experience both leading and following others.

3. CAST THE SPELL
Discover the magic of the Avatar and learn how to lead the group, allowing your creative ideas to become reality.

We use five gestures:

EARTH – repetition
WATER – following
AIR – free flow
FIRE – solo
✨ SPACE – silence and observation

In each round, one person becomes the Avatar and leads the jam, while the other participants support their vision.

Anyone can become the Avatar.

The result is a live performance that can never happen in exactly the same way twice. It is created from the moment, the people and the energy present in the space.

The Element Key allows us to rediscover our own musicality, build real connections and remember how beautiful it is when our unique expression is seen, accepted and supported by the group.

FOR MUSICIANS AND CREATORS

The Element Key gives you a practical tool for composing and conducting in real time. It allows you to communicate with the group without stopping the process, bring out the potential of other musicians and consciously shape an improvised composition.
Instead of a jam where everyone tries to say something at the same time, we learn how to create a musical dialogue.It is a language that allows many different personalities to become part of one composition.

FOR BEGINNERS

The Element Key is also a simple way to enter the world of improvisation.
You don’t need to know music theory or have any previous experience.
With a few simple elements, we can create rhythm, melody, movement, a scene, a story, an image or something completely unexpected.
Everyone can participate in their own way.

You can be a musician, dancer, actor, poet, storyteller, painter, or simply someone who wants to see what happens.
Everything can become part of one composition.

WHAT WILL WE EXPERIENCE?

During the workshops, we will explore the art of:

• composing in real time
• conducting and leading a group
• listening and consciously following
• communicating through gestures
• creating form through improvisation
• creating space for others
• developing our own expression and creativity
• being part of something bigger

We will explore how different voices, personalities and creative disciplines can meet in one living composition.

PATRYK LUDWIŃSKI

Patryk brings a positive and energetic presence that activates and engages the group he works with. He has a natural ability to open people up on a human level and create an atmosphere that is lively, relaxed and inclusive.He helps lead and develop the project with clarity, awareness and intention.

KLAUDIA BAJKA

With a strong connection to nature and the elements, as well as experience in improvisation and circle singing, Klaudia is developing her path as a new facilitator of The Element Key.
She co-creates The Element Key circles in Nessondden.
