REBIRTHING: THE BREATH THAT REBIRTHES. – A workshop on conscious work with breath and emotions – Krzysztof Ruba / October 17

A Workshop on Conscious Breathwork and Emotions

Breath is something that accompanies us from the first moment of life. It is with us in every experience—when we are calm, when we feel tension, when we experience something, when we hold on to something, or when we try to let go.

During this workshop, I invite you to a deeper encounter with your breath and body.
Through the practice of conscious, connected breathing, we will create space for connection with what is happening within us—with sensations, emotions, tension, and inner experiences.

What is Rebirthing?

Rebirthing is a breathwork practice based on a conscious, connected way of breathing. Its essence is using the breath as a tool for deepening connection with yourself and your own experience. Breathing is gentle.

During a session, you may experience various physical, emotional, or memory- and imagination-related sensations. Each experience is individual—there is no need to achieve anything or experience it in a specific way.

What can you experience?

The workshop can be a space for:
• deepening your connection with your body and breath
• pausing and turning your attention inward
• better recognizing your own feelings and emotions
• experiencing deep relaxation
• examining what’s currently happening in your life
• consciously connecting with yourself in a safe, guided space

What does a session look like?

We will begin by meeting in a circle and creating a space that is non-judgmental, mindful, and open to everyone. You will then have the opportunity to identify and name what most needs your attention and nurturing at a given moment.

We will then move on to a guided breathing session, during which you will be able to mindfully open to subsequent layers of yourself. Emotions, body sensations, memories, and anything else that needs to be re-accepted and integrated within you may emerge.

For some, the session can be very energizing, addressing the topic of boundaries and anger; for others, it can be moving, combining sadness or memories, or very freeing when a part of you finally feels accepted emerges.

The entire experience is deeply embodied, allowing us to feel what we have long longed for or what has been uncomfortable.
The entire process is very safe because we breathe in pairs, and each person has a guide who enhances the feeling of safety.

During the practice, a process of co-regulation (the presence of the other person) and self-regulation (when our parts feel accepted by the Self, our greater Self) occurs.
After the session, there will be time for a quiet return, integration of the experience, and sharing in pairs and the group.

You don’t need to have prior experience with breathwork.

My Preparation

I completed the year-long Trauma Awareness Breathwork Facilitator program at Atma Breath, where I worked with Rebirthing and holotropic breathing, among other techniques. The program included individual work, breathing practice, in-person and online classes, and practice leading sessions with clients. During the workshop, I utilize the methods I learned in this training program.

I conduct individual sessions using IFS therapy, lead breathing sessions, and create my own personal development workshops. For the past 10 years, I’ve been developing my company, Wyprawy Rozwojowe (Development Expeditions), where I create transformative development programs with other therapists in the most remote places on Earth. My passion is creating environments where authenticity, adventure, and closeness can meet.

_____

Breathwork can be an intense experience. Therefore, before participating, I’ll send you a short questionnaire about your health and medications.

The workshop is educational and developmental and does not replace psychotherapy, treatment, or a medical consultation.

You’re welcome.

If you feel like you need to slow down for a moment, turn your attention inward, and see where your own breath can lead you, I invite you.

Breath. Presence. Space for what wants to be born again.
