I am personally interested in the physical and dynamic aspect of KI, so the classes will be based on the path leading to dynamics in movement with a partner!

Classes aimed at improving skills in Contact Improvisation. You can expect specific physical training. The scope of topics will be dictated by the capabilities of the group as a whole and individual participants. Everyone will definitely get a solid dose of knowledge and ideas for further practice.

Landings, jumps, partnering – everything is possible.

A total of 6 hours with a break. That is 3h plus 3h.

ABOUT THE LEADER:

Sebastian Flegiel
I follow many paths. So far, only in a few have I reached a level that satisfies me. By nature, I am an engineer, philosopher and above all a mover and dancer. I have been moving for 40 years. I have been dancing for over twenty. I am already aware of a few things, others are still waiting for me to discover them.

I am an academic lecturer, dancer, performer, certified dance instructor, certified masseur and Aikido practitioner. I am fascinated by motor skills, anatomy, dynamics of movement. Its meaning and reception by the viewer based on the symbolism read together. Although I danced and learned from many more and lesser known people, over the past two decades, my understanding of movement and dance, and at the same time the teaching material, has become the sum of all the techniques and experiences I have dealt with or deal with. Synthesized through my own understanding and judgment.

Advanced practice of Contact Improvisation lasting 25 years. I have been teaching for 18 years.

I teach KI, partnering technique and principles of movement at the Department of Dance Theatre in Bytom and at the Academy of Music in Łódź.
