COME DANCE – Contact Improvisation workshop with Andrzej Woźniak / March 16-17

Postmodernism gained for dance, among others, the so-called pedestrian body – a body performing everyday movements and activities that turn out to be as valuable as ballet techniques and at the same time much more inclusive.
So let’s start by recognizing our rich repertoire of dance skills:
walking, rolling, moving between the floor and a standing position, etc. and then we will look at what happens to our weight during movement.
With the above in mind, we will look for relationships with other bodies in space.
Sharing the burden with another person while maintaining one’s own agency is, for me, the crème de la crème of contact improvisation – a place where interesting things can happen
relational, compositional and energetic plane (when I use this word I mean the psychophysical state we are in).

During this workshop we will work a lot with mindfulness, we will improvise a lot within the various proposed structures. There will also be specific paths to practice in pairs, but they will not constitute the axis of the workshop, but rather an illustration
for a selected principle in motion (e.g. leading and following center to center or slide).

The workshop is designed so that beginners can find their way there and experienced people can deepen their understanding of solo and social movement.
