Imagine that feeling when you stand in front of someone you’ve never spoken to… and yet it feels like you’ve known each other for years.
Or that moment when you can express yourself freely – without filters – and someone is simply there with you.
They see your wildness, your gentleness, your truth – and they don’t judge.
Or that moment when you feel like a child again.
Goofing around, jumping, playing… and no one tells you it’s “weird.”
That’s exactly what happens at “Now the Body Speaks.”
And now, I invite you to go even deeper into this experience.
If you’re here for the first time, here’s what these workshops are all about:
They are gatherings where, through movement, spontaneous expression, and body awareness, we return to ourselves – to what’s real and alive within.
We don’t learn choreography. There are no mirrors, no corrections.
There is movement that flows from within – from your needs, your emotions, straight from the heart 🙂
There’s connection – with yourself and with others.
There’s play, there’s emotion, there’s a sense of connection and unspoken understanding.
Now imagine all that happens at “Now the Body Speaks”:
Wordless connection, deep presence, joy, closeness, wild fun, self-discovery, and pure enjoyment… and multiply that by two. Or even three
Because when we meet regularly with the same group, everything deepens. Trust is built. Bonds form. New spaces open up.
This is no longer just a workshop – it’s a shared journey
In July, I invite you to a month-long cycle in a closed group.
We meet twice a week:
Mondays 20:30–22:00
Wednesdays 18:00–19:30
All of July – 8 sessions:
July 7, 9, 14, 16, 21, 23, 28, 30
Thanks to the closed group, the program will be more personal and tailored – custom-made for your needs.
During the first session, we’ll get to know each other and integrate. During the last one – we’ll reflect and close our journey together.
And what happens in between… will also depend on you
You can share with me the themes that matter most to you. The ones that come up most often will inspire the topics of our meetings.
You don’t need any dance experience – just openness and curiosity.
And if you already know “Now the Body Speaks” – you know it’s more than just movement.
It’s about meeting yourself and others. It’s time for yourself. It’s joy, fun, and connection.
And now, in a regular group – it’s all taken to the next level.
Sounds like something for you? Let’s go!

A few words about me:
My name is Jagoda. In dance and movement, I am most interested in the relationship between the body and emotions. Dance moves me deeply. When I move, I feel alive. I also experience my limitations and difficulties through dance, as they manifest in movement. When I feel the urge to dance, it’s a sign that I’m in a good place—that life’s energy is flowing through me. When I don’t feel that energy, dance helps me awaken it.
When I dance, I can be tender and gentle, or wild and crazy. I enjoy being playful, having fun, listening, and being attentive. I like to give and receive.
I’ve been dancing for as long as I can remember, but five years ago, I discovered the therapeutic power of dance and began to see the body as a tool through which we experience reality. I’ve participated in various workshops, courses, and festivals, including Methodology of Improvisation and Choreography and Movement Composition workshops with Iwona Olszowska; a course in Movement Composition, Contemporary Dance, and Dance Therapy with Alicja Miszczor; and Radical Somatics in Contact Improvisation with Christiane Cole. I completed the Dance Therapy Techniques and Movement Analysis Course at the IBA Dance and Movement Therapy Center. Together with Agata Moląg, I conduct dance classes for people with Parkinson’s disease.
I created my brand, Czułe Ciało (Tender Body), under which I organize workshops, regular classes, and embodiment sessions for women. Czułe Ciało is a space where, through movement, spontaneous expression, and contact with the body, we return to ourselves—to what is true and alive. It’s a space where you can express yourself with even greater authenticity and courage—the courage to be yourself, without censorship 🙂
In my workshops, I use exercises that anyone can do, regardless of experience or lack thereof. We dance solo and with others. My inspiration for leading classes comes from intuitive dance, contact improvisation, the GAGA movement language, and Dance Movement Therapy
Underscore Jam – Damian Oterman / July 5
Embark on a unique, transformative experience with Underscore Jam—a systematic yet free-form approach to Contact Improvisation. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced dancer, Underscore offers a profound opportunity to explore the subtle details of each Contact Improvisation Jam (and probably each group process) where you can immerse yourself in movement, connection, and creativity in a supportive, structured space.
What is Underscore Jam?
Underscore Jam is a structured improvisational practice that guides participants through the various stages of a Contact Improvisation Jam—from silence and pause through movement to reflection and harvest—increasing awareness, trust, and connection. Developed by Nancy Stark Smith, this practice offers a great framework for exploring physicality, sensory awareness, and the art of being and moving with others.
What to expect at the workshop:
Exploring the phases: The Underscore unfolds in several stages, including energetic and physical arrival, wandering, expanding and overlapping kinospheres, engagement, development, collection, resolution, recirculation, reflection, sharing, silence, and closure. Understanding these inherent phases, in any Jam, develops a sense of self-awareness in the context of Contact Improvisation, elevating your solo and contact dance practice to the highest level.
Honest communication: Share thoughts, feelings, and information openly and truthfully, without hiding or distorting the message. Explore moments of verbal communication based on transparency and honesty and how they enrich the nonverbal process of the Dance.
Heightened awareness and connection: Focus on sensory experiences and refine your nonverbal communication, deepening your connection to both your body and your partner.
Long, mindful, and quiet jam: Engage in a session with the intention (seed) that will grow and develop in the space. At the same time, this structured, free-flowing session will support your understanding of the Contact Improvisation process forever, deepening your perception of the process, your confidence, and your awareness of communication.
All levels: Whether you are a novice or experienced movement practitioner, Underscore offers something for everyone—allowing you to deepen your practice and discover new dimensions of dance and life.
Why join Underscore?
Deepen your practice with a structured yet creative framework to explore.
Build deep understanding, trust, and connection within a structured framework.
Enjoy the conscious presence that unfolds in the Contact Improvisation space through the understanding of Underscore.
Explore and communicate your boundaries in a supportive, sensitive space.
Step into the space of the universe with intention and purpose, while staying present in the moment.
Join us on this enriching journey of movement, trust, and creative expression. “Underscore – Step into the Deep” offers a space to connect, explore, and move with intention—whether you are a novice or seasoned dancer and explorer of the body and connection.

Haka with Mana – Connection with oneself, rage and boundaries workshops – Mana Akitanga from Polynesia (Ra’iatea)
This first Haka workshop in Krakow will take you to the Ngati Toa (tribe), learning and performing an introduction to the Haka, then “Ka mate” itself and finally finish with an outro of the Haka. With “Ka mate” we want to remind ourselves of unity, motivation and combativity.
“Ka mate” is the most popular haka thanks to the New Zealand national rugby team. “Ka mate” belongs to Ngati Toa Rangatira, a dominant tribe of the Cook strait area. Under the lead of Chief Te Rauparaha, Ngati Toa turned into a regional power in the mid of the 19th century.
In Polynesia, it is known that men on the battlefield are fierce but let women be part of it and the opponents will tremble. Polynesians believe women and men are one, united, therefore Haka is for women and men, and for this workshop, regardless of experience.
During the 3h workshop we will:
– Learn about the Polynesian approach with energy and how Polynesians take care of their bond with nature, ancestors, people and themselves.
– Learn what the most popular Haka, “Ka mate”, represents, and how Haka works on our mind and our body
– Set and nurture our boundaries the Polynesian way
– Embody the Polynesian spirits of the steady Guardian or the fierce Warrior
– Understand the Polynesian concept of “mana”, the energy, of “aroha”, care/love/empathy, of “kotahi”, unity, of “ao”, the world around us, nature, etc…
– Dance and perform movements of power
– Know how to release and face emotions described as “negative” in the Polynesian way
– Work with rage and let it be heard through our voices
– Let emotions be visible on our faces through “Pūkana”
☀️About Mana:
Mana, comes from Polynesia, born on the sacred island of Ra’iatea, the legendary Hava’i Nui. His family traces their lineage to the clan/tribe standing against colonizers in the Leeward islands, in French Polynesia, and Aotearoa (New Zealand). As the traditions oblige, he learnt about his ancestors, cultures, and traditions growing up with his grandparents, guarding dearly the stories and legends of Polynesia, told by his elders in his childhood.
Mana’s goal is to share the authentic Polynesian cultures.
This is a gentle reminder to always seek for Polynesian guidance when willing to learn about Polynesian practices, that shows respect to the cultures. Please, look for Polynesians.

Contact Improvisation has made my life so much richer, more alive and more connected – so I am looking forward to sharing some of what I love with you.
This class will address some essential principles of Contact Improvisation, threads that run through everything and allow us to improvise. We will focus on
Direction and ‘Irimi’ (to enter)
Sharing our center
Allowing momentum and gravity to move us
Effortlessness
We will approach this through our direct sensing and perception – each of our movements and dance will be unique according to our internal sensation. It’s not needed for the dance to look a certain way.
After the class I invite everyone to stay for the jam CI and to keep exploring independently.
The class is suitable for both beginners and experienced dancers who are open to new and old perspectives to enrich their dancing. I will also share stories about the rich context of contact improvisation – where it comes from, and refer to some of the voices who have dedicated their lives to researching and sharing this practice.

Alexandra is a multidisciplinary artist born and raised in South Africa. She has been exploring contact improvisation intensively since since 2021, studying with Sasha Dodo, Dolores Dewhurst Marks, Kirstie Simson, Anjelika Doniy, Alicia Grayson, Artem Markhov, Ming Shen Ku, Bari Kim, Yasukichi Suzuki, Sasha Bezrodnova and many other inspiring teachers. She continues to learn and be surprised in every dance.
Her artistic work includes painting, film, poetry and performance. She considers improvisation as the birthspace of creative practice. Connection to nature is woven into her approach as she explores dancing in different landscapes on land and underwater. Her interest is to allow natural rhythm and truth to reveal itself, surprisingly and effortlessly. She generally lives and dances in Thailand, researching CI as a space that transcends cultural barriers and opens much needed states of listening and mutual support.
