IWONA OLSZOWSKA:
dancer, choreographer, lecturer of improvisation, improvisation as performance and Somatic Movement Educator according to Body Mind Centering. She is fascinated by the infinity of the universe, the beauty of nature, the richness of everyday life, body awareness, anatomy, and psychology. It creates a language of movement containing horizontal and vertical communication, being and spirituality. She collaborates with musician Marcin Janus and dancers, including: with Paweł Konior, Anna Haracz, Magda Przybysz. She gained experience in dance centers in New York, at universities in Washington, Alabama and Calgary. She managed the EST Experimental Dance Studio, taught at the State Drama School in Krakow and the Warsaw Dance Department. In 2015, she spoke at TEDex. He teaches at Hurtownia Ruchu in Kraków and at the Academy of Music in Łódź. In 2020, she prepared the premiere for the Body/Mind Festival for the first time, and it is worth noting that she already performed at the first edition of the Festival in 1995! She also took part in the 20th anniversary C/U in 2021.
