Hello, all Beautiful Souls!
I invite you to participate in the new series of Vocal and Movement Workshops
“BodyVoice – Close Encounters with the Voice in the Body”
WATCH THE TRAILER:
We will immerse ourselves together in new sonic spaces to discover the potential and beauty of our own voice and body!
This will happen in ways that are not always typical and obvious 😉
We may be accompanied by delight, amazement, curiosity…
Through movement, sound, deep feeling, being here and now, spontaneity, and intuition, we will seek new possibilities for self-expression.
Where judgment, opinion, and criticism fall silent…where Personal Truth leads us to an encounter with Ourselves.
What will be covered in our workshops:
– working with psychological blocks in singing
– conscious voice production
– techniques for building healthy vocal skills
– vocal exposure in movement
– working with resonators in the body
– body-voice integration
– working with the senses, e.g., developing deep hearing through the sense of touch
– polyphonic songs from around the world
– vocal-movement and melorhythmic improvisation
– developing self-confidence in singing and movement
– self-regulation of tension through the voice
– sound massage / vocal-sound meditation
During our workshops, we will engage in various musical interactions. I will support some of these with playing ethnic instruments dear to my heart. Among them will be the Armenian duduk with its incredibly mystical sound, the penetrating strings of the Persian santoor cymbals, the relaxing vast drum, the oriental blul flute, trance-like frame drums, and… we’ll see what else we can find out for ourselves 🙂
No prior musical training is required to participate in the workshops. However, I personally feel that those who have some experience in body and voice exploration will thrive.
Level of skill is not important here. Rather, I’m referring to a personal readiness to “open up to new things” in the areas of movement, voice, body, singing, closeness, touch, self-expression, creative expression, trust in oneself and others, and building a singing community.
If you have any questions, feel free to contact me 🙂
The workshops will be held at Kontakt, a beautiful space in the heart of Krakow. It’s a good idea to bring comfortable, comfortable clothing.
