I invite you to discover the art of tai chi qigong – the art of conscious movement.

Tai chi is a very ancient art dating back eight hundred years – it is like a rope, consisting of three cords. The first cord is the meditative aspect. Through mindfulness and relaxation, during the practice, the mind quiets and focuses on one thing – tai chi. The second cord is the health aspect, based on Chinese medicine and stems from exercises that clear the energy pathways through which energy moves within us. The third cord is a martial element that, through understanding the application of movement, allows for better movement and energy direction.

There are between 3,000 and 5,000 types of qigong. It is an ancient art, at least 20,000 years old, used to improve health through movement exercises. There are different types of qigong. These include stretching the fascia, guiding energy through its pathways in the body, massaging and improving the condition of internal organs, strengthening joints and connecting tendons to them. In most methods, qigong is associated with breathing.

These classes are for you if:
– you are looking for a way to calm your mind and body,
– you want to improve your balance, coordination, and posture,
– you suffer from muscle tension, back pain, or joint stiffness,
– you are looking for a calm, gentle form of movement,
– you are looking for a way to care for your physical and mental health in a natural, harmonious way,
– you seek a deeper connection with your body, breath, and emotions.

What to expect:
– exercises at a leisurely pace, tailored to your abilities,
– learning basic tai chi and qigong movements,
– working with breathing, mindfulness, and internal energy (qi).

Preparation:
– choose comfortable, loose clothing that allows for unrestricted movement – sweatpants work well – no jewelry or watches,
– flat-soled athletic shoes are preferred, as they allow you to feel contact with the ground and maintain good balance,
– no mats are used.

Instructor: Elżbieta Stuss, Physical Recreation Instructor, Taijiquan

I became fascinated by the art of Tai Chi in 2008 and have been perfecting it ever since. In 2020, I began training with Master Piotr Grzęda-Wachowicz, participating in both regular training sessions in Krakow and seminars and retreats, practicing at least five times a week. Master Piotr was accepted into the Inner Gate of Master Chen Bing, one of the greatest living Chinese Masters, and became his representative in Poland, running the Branch of Master Chen Bing’s global organization, Chen Bing Taiji Academy, in Krakow.

In 2023, I became Master Piotr’s assistant at Chen Bing Taiji Academy in Krakow, and in April 2025, I obtained the “Laoshi” teacher degree. In February 2026, I became his representative. I received my official Taijiquan instructor title from the Polish Academy of Culture and Sport. I am currently participating in the Qigong Instructor Certification Course at the Polish Training Institute.

I also honed my Tai Chi skills at seminars led by Masters Chen Bing, Chen Xiaowang, and Chen Yingjun, and during meditation retreats led by Jan Silberstoff, a prominent Chen-style Tai Chi specialist. I learned Chen family hand and weapon forms, with some inspiration from Wudang and Shaolin-style approaches. I also use meditation methods, mindfulness training, and fascia work along my path.
