Sense of Rhythm. Ethnopercussion Workshops with Dominik Podgórski
Sense of Rhythm is a workshop that will allow you to realize what role Rhythm plays in everyday life and in dance.
The rhythms of nature and the successive seasons are familiar to us.

We have become accustomed to the fact that the rhythm of day and night determines our activities, just as inhalation and exhalation and the beating of the heart make us alive.
No matter whether we are walking or rushing, rhythm always accompanies us.

And when we want to walk with someone at an even pace, we know how to synchronize.
This is a natural sense of rhythm.

If your heart is beating, you are a drummer.
Let the drum connect your heart with your hands,
let your hands learn to dance.

Sense of Rhythm is an original workshop that will give you a broader “hearing” of what rhythm is and what its cultural and social functions are.

Come, feel the Rhythm, be in touch with the drums and see for yourself.
We invite people with no musical experience and those who already play a little.

During the classes you will learn how to:
verbalize even, odd and complex irregular rhythms.
You will also learn how to clap once, twice and what double tempo is or what musical value silence has.

We provide instruments for participants, also in a vegetarian version (Ashiko drums).

Group of 15 people, the order of applications decides.
