AUSTRALIAN VERY OPEN – part II
I invite you to the AUSTRALIAN VERY OPEN movement and voice improvisation classes. I invite lovers of improvisation and people with movement and dance experience. We will practice with the inspirations I brought from Australia, mainly from the extraordinary teacher Andrew Morrish. We will improvise for pleasure and to explore our imagination, create poetic movement and voice statements.
Andrew Morrish is an exceptional teacher. With Australian lightness and a sense of humor, he supports artists in building confidence in themselves, organizing feedback around one task: naming their pleasure. I learned his extremely precise methodology of teaching improvisation in Poland, Sweden (National Institute of Music and Dance Scholarship) and Australia. I had the honor of performing with him in Australia and practicing improvisation with artists with whom Andrew practices.
For Andrew Morrish, body sensations and imagination are an inexhaustible source of movement and storytelling. The improvisations created from them surprise with their mood, play with words and sense of humour, and they remain in the memory of those who watch them. They are also remembered by those who perform them.
I run AUSTRALIAN VERY OPEN classes on a monthly basis, so that I can develop improvisational material for you in a stable group. This means that after the first class in a month, you decide whether to sign up for a given month.

About the host:
I am an artist, improviser, in love with contemporary dance since the first lesson with Iwona Olszowska in 2003. The infatuation turned into a love for improvisation with the Body Mind Centering approach, an approach combining anatomy and imagination. At the same time, I was fascinated by new choreography and as a scholarship holder of Stary Browar Nowy Taniec I came across coaching with Andrew Morrish in 2017. I fell in love with this approach to improvisation.
