Movement from Feeling: “DANCING INTO COMUNITY: Human Connection Practices” – 5 separate workshops with Asia Książkiewicz / start: October 13

Movement from feeling: “DANCING INTO COMUNITY: Human Connection Practices

“Movement from feeling” can be translated as:

~movement that flows from feeling~

~movement resulting from sensation~

~flowing movement from perception~

~movement that flows from consciousness~

I invite you to a series of 5 workshops on movement from feeling. This time you can take part in any workshop (this is not a series in a permanent group – if you are interested in such, write to me!).

The workshops will be held in Polish, with the option of translation into English.

Inspirations for our classes (topics to explore):

<your body’s home>

<human connection practices>

<fun and vitality>

<conscious touch in bodywork>

<somatic poetry>

<dance in community>

I invite you:

-to take the first or next steps in building a deep, fully accepting relationship with your body – through the processes of soothing, gentle unblocking, expression and opening up to meeting another person;

-to consciously let through the body and transform the entire vastness of movements that we all experience, often forgetting to MOVE the body as well – so that it can contain all the streams of feelings, mind and soul:);

-to travel ‘from feeling to dance’, to discover that dance is a simple, powerful medicine that everyone can draw from!

-to record well-being and new, enriching body-mind connections in the body.

-to experience joy, freedom and lively curiosity in contact with another person, a sense of connection and safety.

I will guide you with my voice so that you will not even notice when you start to move more freely, and maybe even dance:)

We will use my own practices of conscious movement and cooperation with the body. The sources of my experience are: Body Mind Centering (experiential anatomy, somatic education), Life/art process by Anna Halprin (Ursula Schorn, gestalt), contact improvisation, meditation in movement, process-oriented psychology, butoh, solo improvisation, Thai massage, authentic movement, voice work workshops (Emma Bonnici).

During the workshops we will practice:

– deepening body awareness

– conscious movement in harmony with the nature of the body

– free, improvised dance, allowing us to go beyond the patterns we kno

– (co)operation with the body – attentive, soothing touch, supporting the “recovery” of the body and sensations and

establishing authentic contact.

In other words…

With mindfulness, gentleness, with respect for the body and the needs hidden in it, we will immerse ourselves in conscious, free movement – one that:

– helps release tensions accumulated in the body

– opens you to feeling pleasure

– deeply relaxes, reduces the effects of everyday stress

– reveals to you a new perspective on perceiving the body – its needs, injuries, problems

– can both indicate the problem and be a tool for solving it.

MORE ABOUT THE PATH

We will lead our attention through the next layers, structures of our body, using

work with experimental anatomy as a path – to awakening movement in accordance with the nature of the body.

We will open ourselves to the pleasure that flows from such movement, to exploring a new perspective of perceiving the body, the processes occurring in it – also injuries, problems.

Through self-massage and gentle touch, we will learn how to trust our hands, how to give and receive such attentive touch, taking care of our boundaries. We will allow ourselves to use the support that another person can give us.

In silence, in music, in dance, which will be a natural development of conscious movement, we will open ourselves to the joy of contact, to the power of experiencing together as a group. To the pleasure that flows from free movement, from moving frozen areas of the body, from discovering new forms of movement.

Remaining aware of what is happening inside us, we will meet another person. We will create flow and ease in this meeting by deepening mindfulness, but also by using a variety of methods and techniques that allow us to notice, leave, or fully utilize the patterns we usually fall into when dancing together.

We will learn tools that will help us open up new paths of establishing contact in dance, but above all, together we will expand our awareness of what happens to us during a meeting in movement.

Observing the relationship that is created between us, we will examine what presence in contact means to us, capturing the moments in which we really meet and those in which something blocks us from meeting here and now. Together we will look for alignment and flow.

We move in silence and to music. At each meeting there will be space to share in a circle what we have experienced.

FOR WHOM?

The classes are for you if you feel that:

– you want to get used to dancing, but you do not want to repeat and memorize steps

– you would like to enrich your dance workshop with a new

perspective of experiencing the body in movement;

– your body gives you signals that it needs attention;

– you want to get to know yourself better, to look with gentleness at your relationship with your body, how you establish relationships with others;

– you want to spend time with other people in an atmosphere of acceptance, freedom, mindfulness

– you have no experience with dance and bodywork, but something pulls you in this direction…

This meeting is for anyone who wants to give relief – to their body, mind, nervous system… for those seeking answers by asking questions,

for those who want to remind themselves of the vast treasures that await us in an authentic encounter with another (o)person.

I believe that conscious movement is a good that we can all draw from – regardless of ability, experience with movement or blockages in the head and other parts of us:) Come if you feel this calling while reading this description!

Important – you do not have to be a dancer, have experience in conscious bodywork. I am happy to invite people who have “never done such things” to my classes.

If you have them and you are immersing yourself in this world not until today – I also invite you.

Each meeting with the body and feeling is another step to deepening this relationship, and each group process carries its own unique power.

REVIEWS

A few feedbacks from participants of previous workshops on movement from feeling:

“What happened to me personally was opening up, putting aside shame, starting from a place where it was difficult for me to jump, sigh or spread my arms and occupy any space at all, and ending in comfort, joyful frolicking, enthusiasm and the mental ability to perform full, open, pleasant and spontaneous movements in different spaces. (…) These classes work both before, during and after, and gave me a huge field for observation, understanding different mechanisms of my behavior and interactions with the world through something so relatively simple, and at the same time infinite in the possibilities it gives, like movement.” Ania

“Fantastic in every way. For me it is important because I have opened myself up to NEW… But here both the idea for the classes and the atmosphere are exceptional: joyful, safe, everyone has their own boundaries but at the same time there is no feeling/risk of crossing them. The entire classes are conducted at a lively pace, no one falls asleep, there is always something going on. You engage the attention of the participants in a unique way. You have gathered a truly fantastic team of people!”Grzesiek

“I wanted to say that after the workshops you led I feel grateful and at peace. In the space you gave rise to I felt safe and accepted. The fear of being with people receded into the background, as if it had dissolved. Thank you for your company in the workshop process, for the warmth, wisdom and tenderness that you shared.”Paulina

“Thank you for opening my heart through dance. For showing new qualities in movement. For softness, subtlety, a hint of madness.

Without a doubt, I can say that the “Movement from Feeling” workshops were a breakthrough in my life. Magical things are happening now. Both with the body and the mind. I am extremely grateful that our paths crossed at this point in my life. And you also do gratitude for this for other people. I have the impression that you can heal through dance. Thank you!!” A.
