The Choir in Kontakt is a meeting place for professional and amateur musicians, as well as people from different parts of the world and following different life paths. The band was founded in 2015 by Wassim Ibrahim, a musician and composer from Syria, and its repertoire includes classical and Renaissance music, as well as traditional pieces in several languages. He regularly gives concerts in Krakow’s cultural and artistic institutions. It supports charity projects and projects promoting diversity and intercultural dialogue. In June 2019, he received the title of Multicultural Ambassador as part of the “Open Krakow” Program. The choir’s headquarters is “Kontakt” Space of Movement, Dance and Music, at Szpitalna 40 in Krakow. All rehearsals take place there, and some of them are fully open – we invite everyone who loves singing together!
