About the band:

Teresa Mirga – Voice, Guitar
Jacek Kacica – cajon, oral bass
Maciek Rybka – Accordion, vocals
Piotr Hortmanowicz – Flamenco guitar
Robert Czech – Double bass

In addition to the own works of Teresa Mirga and the melodies of the Hungarian Gypsies, the ensemble also performs songs from the musical tradition of the Gypsies in Slovakia and the Balkans, as well as old songs (purane gila) of the Carpathian Gypsies in traditional and completely new arrangements. With the oldest and forgotten melodies, with which the Gypsies once expressed their deepest feelings, the musicians of Kał Bala bring to life the magical world of the Carpathian Gypsies with their passion, joy, sorrow and nostalgia.During his several years of activity, Kał Bał released numerous records. The band was also on two records released by the Polish Radio:- Roma National Minorities cz. IIAnd on the album:- “Separates 2000. Festival of Traditional Music” as the winner of the Malopolski Traditional Music Competition in 1999.
The band Kał Bala participated in numerous festivals and competitions.He also toured abroad (Sweden, Germany, Great Britain) and made numerous recordings for Polish Radio and Television. Recently Teresa Mirga performs with Kayah, who is enthusiastic about her works and has recorded a CD of her works.
