“Just dance what’s in your HEART” – Łukasz Siemieniec
⏰️ THURSDAYS every 2 weeks at 7:30 / starting: November 13th
* Alternating with the Basics of Contact Improvisation classes led by the Swoboda Brothers
If you’ve ever thought you couldn’t dance, or someone has ever told you so, this is the perfect time to completely change that belief.
I invite you to a dance retreat, during which you will experience being in your own body and let yourself be carried away. In your own way, just the way you like it best.
This retreat aims to freely express yourself through movement, commonly known as dance. Together, we will strive to create an atmosphere where your soul will want to speak to you through your body. Without judgment, analysis, or considerations about what it is or what it “should” be.
Simply, in my own way, meaning extraordinary :).
I allow myself to extend this invitation because when I dance, I feel like I’m fully expressing myself. I feel connected to myself, I feel at home. For me, dancing is like a sixth sense—something that connects me to the whole. When I dance, I feel like a fountain, water gushing from it. I feel a subtlety flowing through my body. I touch upon some form of delicacy and tenderness within myself. This happens both when dancing solo and with another person or persons. I feel this is something I would like to SHARE with the world—WITH YOU. I won’t teach you any steps. You know best how to perform them; I will strive to create a welcoming space for you for your own exploration and expression, and I will accompany you on this journey.
If the invitation has piqued your interest, come along. Please bring loose, comfortable clothing. We dance without shoes—socks are fine. Take care of yourself and your comfort as best you can. Remember to bring water. Don’t forget to bring your unique body. Without it, it won’t work. 🙂 Any mood or mood is welcome.
My name is Łukasz. For years, I’ve been learning various dance techniques and participating in events, workshops, and dance festivals both in Poland and abroad. I’ve had the pleasure of meeting dozens of people from whom I’ve learned various forms of movement and dance. I’ve participated in group performances and had the pleasure of dancing solo on stage. The closest dance technique to me is CI (Contact Improvisation), but what I enjoy most is simply letting myself flow, either with or without music. I often practice dance and movement. You can find me in the hallways and rooms of Kontakt. And sometimes dancing in the park or on the street.
This event is dedicated to all adults, regardless of age, gender, status, identity, size, ability, or motor skills. Everyone is welcome.
Let’s dance 🙂
