Workshops: SONG ~ BODY ~ VOICE – Sabina Krauze, Zofia Trystuła / October 22

We invite you to an encounter with voice, body and song. We will look for freedom and pleasure in expression and self-confidence in melody, chords and improvisation.

We will follow the body and voice where they can become an expression of our interior, serve communication and mutual interactions. We will look for sounds that we do not produce every day, we will follow spontaneity where the truth of our voice and movement is hidden.

We will also develop musical and broadcasting skills, listen to our sound and find ourselves in a common song. We will be accompanied by traditional songs from various cultures and instruments – both rhythmic (drums) and melodic (duduk, santur, blul, vast drum).

No prior musical preparation is required. Both people who are at the beginning of the path full of expression, singing and movement, as well as those who have already been involved in this area, will be able to meet in search and take advantage of joint activities.

It is a good idea to take comfortable clothes that do not restrict your movements.

The workshops will take place in Kontakt, a beautiful space in the heart of Krakow.

Zofia Trystuła

Multi-instrumentalist. A graduate of the Academy of Music in Krakow, Conservatorio di Verona (Italy) and Universidade de Aveiro (Portugal). Co-founder of the band Organic Noises, with which she released two albums: “Organic Noises” and “ReCreationLive”. In addition to performing classical music on the oboe and English horn, she specializes in playing historical instruments (baroque oboes) and ethnic instruments from the South Caucasus (duduk, santur, zurna). Her work is inspired by various musical styles. For her, singing is a broad spectrum of artistic exploration, helping with personal, internal integrity. Music is her lifestyle and a way to travel, meet new people and interact with them.

Sabina Krauze

A singer and musician, she performs on music and theater stages. She has formal musical education in the form of a first-level music school and many workshops and meetings with individual teachers. She graduated in mathematics and cognitive science, with particular emphasis on the relationship between psychology and music. In 2015, she immersed herself in traditional, theatrical and improvised music. She co-creates the bands SWADA and Baykuri, cooperates with the Italian-South American Teatro Simurgh, and conducts her own vocal and vocal-theater workshops. She is fascinated by rituals and the functions that music fulfills in society. On quiet evenings, she composes her own multi-voice songs and improvises in places with beautiful acoustics.
