IWONA OLSZOWSKA:
dancer, choreographer, lecturer of improvisation, improvisation as performance and Somatic Movement Educator according to Body Mind Centering. She is fascinated by the infinity of the universe, the beauty of nature, the richness of everyday life, body awareness, anatomy, psychology. She creates a language of movement that includes horizontal and vertical communication, being with spirituality. She collaborates with musician Marcin Janus and dancers, including Paweł Konior, Anna Haracz, Magda Przybysz. She gained experience in dance centers in New York, at universities in Washington, Alabama, Calgary. She directed the Experimental Dance Studio EST, taught at the PWST in Krakow and the Warsaw Dance Department. In 2015 she performed at TEDex. She teaches at Hurtownia Ruchu in Krakow and at the Academy of Music in Łódź. In 2020, she prepared her first premiere for the Body/Mind Festival, and it is worth noting that she performed at the first edition of the Festival, in 1995! She also took part in the jubilee, 20th C/U in 2021.
