ACTIONS IN PROCESS – the 2-day theatre workshop will be conducted by Przemysław Wasilkowski – an actor, director, and long-time member of Jerzy Grotowski’s Workcenter artistic ensemble in Italy.

The workshop is aimed at a wide group of individuals interested in working with the internal process, internal gesture, organicity of movement, and above all, working with the permeable (dreaming) body in which this subtle life process develops and becomes part of the scenic action. Since process actions are common to many fields of contemporary performing arts, people from theater, contemporary dance, and performance art backgrounds can participate in the workshop.

During the workshop, the following will be utilized:

Dialogical situation/relationship – the workshop facilitator’s authorial methodology of actions in the process, inspired by the narrative technique of self-referential Beckettian monologues and discoveries of process-oriented psychology.

Artistic techniques employed in the later period of Jerzy Grotowski’s theatrical work (Art as a Vehicle).

Throughout the workshop, a repeatable and precise collective performative structure will be developed, based on the process actions of individual performers, enabling the experience of their permeable (dreaming) bodies and the situation of dialogue between them.
