Forró (brazilian dance)

This simple dance is performed in pairs. It is based on two basic steps that are subject to all kinds of variations, rotations and modifications.
The music is characterized by the sounds of an accordion and zabumba (a type of Brazilian drum), a triangle and a concertina.
The joy that comes from learning easily and from dancing itself is why Forro has many admirers all over the world. Forro is the dance of the sun!

Forró is the dance of the sun! Was born in the northeast of Brazil, from a mixture of African and European influences. Originally, it was characterized by the sound of the accordion, zabumba (a type of drum), triangle and the concertina, This simple two-step dance is danced by couples who hold each other closely and elaborate with turns and variations.
